Which Android Phone is Best for You?

It’s time to invest in a new Android phone, and knowing which one is the best fit for you is tough—we get it! With so many carriers, designs and models to choose from, it can feel like a daunting task to know which Android phone is best. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of things to keep in mind to help you decide which Android phone to buy. Check out our tips below!

Size & Display

The feel of a phone in your hand is an important part of choosing your next Android. You’ll want to decide if this is a phone you want to fit comfortably in your pocket (5 inches or smaller), or if you prefer a medium to larger size screen (5.5 inches or larger). You might consider a smaller screen size for operating your phone with one hand. The Google Pixel 2 or 3, as well as the Galaxy S10e, are good examples of Android phones that can easily fit in your pocket. All three of these Androids pack power in an efficient size. When it comes to display, make sure to focus on color quality and brightness before looking at the resolution. If you’re able to, check out your phone in different lighting as well as angles to make sure your display looks great in all environments.

Storage Capacity

When choosing which Android phone to buy, you’ll definitely want to keep storage capacity in mind. A device with 32G or more is your best bet for getting the most out of your new Android. This will give you enough space to download apps and take pictures without worrying about storage as frequently. More storage also helps with processing speed and efficiency on your phone.

Camera

The camera on your smartphone is probably one of the most important features to take into consideration when looking for a new device. With changes and advancements occurring all of the time, it might be tough to know what Android camera phone is best. If you’re willing to splurge, the Galaxy S10 Plus boasts a dual-aperture camera that will take stunning pictures even in low lighting. There are three cameras on this device, making it capable of taking wide-angle or highly zoomed-in pictures. For those still willing to invest in a great camera phone, but on a tighter budget, the Google Pixel phones offer great cameras as well. The Pixel 3, for example, has excellent wide aperture for low-lit photos and excellent color saturation. While both of these are great options, whatever model you choose should have wide lens apertures for brighter and greater quality pictures. You’ll also want to look for a phone with approximately 12-21 megapixels for best image quality.

Brand

There are several power brands to choose from when it comes to Androids. The top contenders include Google, Samsung, LG, Nokia and HTC. You’ll want to get a feel for manufacturer and phone reviews before committing to any one brand. Various strengths exist across different brands that can help you decide what the best fit for you might be. Samsung and Google phones are known for their excellent cameras, for example. Both provide incredible hard drives across several of the most recent 2018 and 2019 phones. In fact, these brands tend to have the highest sales in Android phones for their excellent products. Below we’ve created a table for reference on some of our favorites.
